We miss you Paul bliss
Factpile was a side project from SEO expert & screenwriter Paul Bliss who cancer killed as he was starting to rise. As a creator who also has children and still has creative ambitions, it is unusual to find someone else that changes diapers, corrects homework, carries a day job and still wants in the game of making art.
Paul wrote popular screenplays meant to breakthrough into studios. I would write indie stuff with the goal of shooting it on a shoestring, but we could come together to discuss the story, plot or technical details. We both loved our characters & found common ground that character drives plot.
As I was learning After Effects, Paul started Factpile. It was his hope to turn a Youtube following into an influencer position that could get his screenplays optioned. One day Paul asked for some help and this little start up happened.

People would post fight matches on a Factpile fan forum page, like:

Paul as ‘The Admin‘ would record himself announcing the match, provide stats, an opinion, & then encourage everyone to vote on the comments section. To my surprise the comment section would blow up. Fierce arguments for & against sprung up. Not only was Paul getting views, he was getting engagement.
